Service was the best and food was good!

This my first time coming to this restaurant and the food was Amazing but the waiter was demanding tips ! Very rude of him ! I don’t believe that you should be force to give a tip.

Such an amazing find! This mom and pop shop, is hands down one of the best Korean restaurants I've been to. I would go every day if I could :) food is super quick and comes out amazing. I love their spicy soup, pan fried meat dumplings, and their big ol' steam Ubu. 4 Stars all the way.

This is the best sushi place in Hoboken, hands down. The kind of staff that will keep you coming back just to say hello. I've been coming for years and hopefully will keep coming for years to come.

Friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. Unfortunately, the rice bowl I had (Oyakudon, $11) had zero Japanese flavor. It was overly salted with normal salt and not soy sauce and was pretty much just a normal Western scrambled egg with scrambled chicken on rice. Can't say anything about the sushi.

I celebrated my PhD last night in this excellent restaurant. Well we had a marvelous evening and the venue was definitely the reason for that outstanding event. The team helped in a lovely manner, the meals were great and my friends were so joyful. We shall no dout return for more joyful events. thanks very much.

The place to go for ramen and sushi! Very friendly staff. Very quiet place where you can have a nice conversation with your partner. And the best part? Bring your own bottle!

Horrible restaurant. In an empty restaurant at 1:45pm, the owner refused to serve us once he saw we had 2 strollers and 4 kids(2 at 4 and 2 infants). Absolutely horrible customer service.

Awesome food with great prices

I really like this place. Been twice now. The food is well prepared, fresh and nicely presented. The staff is attentive and courteous. Relatively compact space. If you are in Hoboken looking at sushi places, I would recommend this one. BYOB and they are happy to accommodate bottle opening, no problem.

This is my favorite sushi place in Hoboken. Really good sushi. The fish tasted really fresh. Not overpriced. The owner is really nice. Definitely a good place to share a meal or a drink with a date or friends or family. It has a cozy hole in the wall ambience.

Great place, friendly waiter and free ice cream!

I walked past so many times and decided to stop in alone while waiting for a friend. It’s so quaint and cozy and the staff is attentive. It was a slow weeknight and they provided a starter piece of sushi on the house and chocolate ice cream at the end. Their tea was delicious too! Highly recommend. Oh it’s also BYOB but there is a minimum $18 per person. Still BYOB! Definitely coming back with a few friends next time.

This is a place where your experience depends highly on what you order. I like the quiet and cozy atmosphere. Sushi is good in general. We received two small dishes on the house. But tempura is a fail. The flour/bread crumbs are thicker than the shrimp itself.

The place offers an awesome range of delicious food. I love eating here. Employees are always friendly, pricing is fair and the place is always kept clean.

Terrible would not recommend it. The individual in charge is rude and needs to not have the restaurant on seamless or grubhub. Countless times he was rude. If you order from this establishment please be warned.

Ordered delivery on a Friday night. Food took nearly 2.5 hours to arrive from a place only a few blocks away. I understand the spike in demand lately, so normally that'd be excusable. However, the sushi I ordered was absolutely bottom-tier in quality; the fish tasted old, the rolls barely held together, and the overall flavor was poor. The ramen was the same case, with barely any pork in it and totally lacking flavor. Prices aren't terrible, but still higher than other spots in Hoboken that serve better sushi more reliably so I can't even credit it that. I'd try your luck at a different place, there's no dearth of Japanese or Korean in Hoboken.

I'm not a tofu person but Ubu's spicy tofu soup is my new favorite! Also love their tofu sushi as a complimentary.

Been here several times for eat-in, take-out, and delivery. For me, the experience has been quite consistent so maybe the management shifted / learned from previous reviews. Anyway, the sushi is good quality and I absolutely love the homey atmosphere. I’ve actually never had anything but sushi here, so can’t speak to the other dishes. Also, this is not a high end fancy place, you can meander over to Illuzion for that. Come to Ubu if you want something more down to earth. BYOB!2/9/2019 Edit - still one of the best restaurants in Hoboken! I just had their soon doo boo (spicy tofu soup) and it was so delicious that I had to edit my old review to let everyone know the soon doo boo is awesome!!!

Solid sushi, the ice cream dessert they give you at the end was a nice touch.

I came here only because of the overall high rating. The restaurant is quiet and nice, but the food is not impressive. I ordered a crab donburi at the restaurant, which costs $10.5 instead of $9.00 mentioned by Google. The food itself is just okay, i mean, JUST GENERIC. The taste is average or maybe below average (I am big fan of Japanese food and I've tried something better and cheaper before, maybe here is more expensive due to the restaurant's location). The avacado in it does not taste so fresh and I don't think it worth the money. Will not come back again for the donburi.Plus I also asked the staff for Wifi access and he told me there is no wifi in the restaurant. Not sure if that is the case.

Nasty food. Ordered couple dishes to go. Their beef bowl with veggie only had 2 spoons disgusting ground beef and 2 spoons of tasteless rise in the bottom, and rest was full of shredded lettuce as veggie. Couldn't eat it' Sushi was disgusting, and I never had seaweed salad like that. Waste of money, and bad experience. I would not recommend this place.

Me and my wife love this place. Food is awesome. Definitely one of the best Japanese food places in town. The behavior of the staffs are very nice all the time. They always welcome everyone with smile and professionalism. Price is also reasonable.

Luckily came across this spot when wandering off the main street, and was not disappointed! We odered the Kani salad, the high five roll, and rock and roll — all of which was delicious. The best part was our server who was helpful and attentive throughout our meal. Can't wait to come back

Tomomi sushi is located in downtown Alhambra. I came here to celebrate my birthday with my family. They were able to accommodate 15 of us and we had a nice private area looking out the window. Overall experience was pleasant. Our server was very nice and food was very good with large portion. I will be back here again soon.

Amazing tasting food and they always had something on the table to enjoy from soup, salad, rice and then the meal. I was also given complimentary ice cream which was the cherry on top. I was from out of town and wish i could come here everyday

My favorite sushi restaurant in Hoboken! I go almost every week. The owner is so sweet! Sushi is great and good prices. Also, they have the best miso soup!

First time visiting Hoboken/Washington Street this weekend. Was overwhelmed by all the loud bars and restaurants - it was only 3pm! Couldn't figure out where to eat but luckily came across this restaurant off the beaten path on a quieter street.No frills, very homey, local place. Had seaweed salad and two special rolls. The friendly older man serving us also provided a complimentary app and ice cream. Such a nice touch!! Definitely not amazing sushi or food, but I'm glad we spent our money here.

This was such a cute little Japanese restaurant! We ordered the chicken rice bowl and pork ramen and it was so good!! Good place to stop and get lunch before riding a bus/train to NYC!

One of the best sushi spot in the bay area ! Service food vibe... I just love everything about this place. Servers are very very attentive and knowledgeable, and dishes are always on point! Presented beautifully too I recommend to ask the chefs about their daily specials, cuz it changes so often! Just give this place a shot and you won't regret it.

If you are Ramen-lover like me try it at Ubu. Highly recommended. You could also enjoy free ice cream at the end.

Very attentive staff. The food was delicious, and came put in a timely manner at the right temperature. I had the chicken ramen, steamed dumplings, and Miso. I also had a couple of free sweats as well. Very professional staff, and I would recommend this restaurant to my friends.
